Luna
This is Luna, a leucistic Eastern Screech Owl. Because he is white, he cannot survive in the wild. Unlike an albino, however, his eyes, feet, and beak are normal colors, and his eyesight is fine. Luna was found by a hiker and now lives at the Peace River Wildlife Center in Florida.
Magnificent Frigate Bird
This is a juvenile, so it looks much different than the adults. The workers at Peace River wildlife sanctuary are quite excited to have him in their facility- guess he’s a bit rare. The sanctuary helps injured wildlife recover and releases them back into the wild if possible. If the birds are too severely injured they get to stay in this avian “assisted living” facility.
